Dean Jones, aside from being the founder of Dog on Fleas, has written music for television, film, shadow plays, websites, puppet shows; you name it. He has received composition grants from NYSCA, Franklin Furnace, Meet the Composer, Henson Foundation, Fund for Women Artists, and others. Dean is half of the songwriting/production team NO DUST with Ken McGloin. Their music has been featured on Nickelodeon, Animal Planet, Oprah, and over 100 TV shows.

Dean owns and operates No Parking Studio, a lovely straw bale recording studio in Rosendale, New York. He records his own projects, as well as producing other artists such as Uncle Rock, Cleoma's Ghost, Mark Brown, the Kiss Ups, and many more. He is also an in demand session player, mostly for his trombone playing, but also for keyboards, drums, guitar and odd instruments like conch shells and bass harmonica.
